viola part in high places, where the thumb?

Especially when it comes to the 9 th place and over? Do you place your thumb on the handle (and violin) or do you keep it outside the body of the viola? If she stays in the body, which curves around the wrist and also violates the fingers to up or not to keep the thumb in one place and increase the height with the fingers? So far I've heard of three different ways to do so. violin teachers are for the road not because they say it promotes greater flexibility and less stress on the forearm. But do we really need this flexibility both violists? What is your opinion? Thank you for sharing (:

Do what works for you. Personally, I prefer let blade thumb along the top edge of the instrument once you go beyond the end of the neck, but I know there are many violinists who use the edge of the tuning fork method. I would not recommend anchoring the end of inches to the neck and just from there, but my fingers are short. Maybe someone with very long fingers could do without any problem.

How do species evolve? Richard Dawkins, one of the world’s most eminent zoologists, likens the process to scaling a huge, Himalaya-size peak, the Mount Improbable of his title. An alpinist does not leap from sea level to the summit; neither does a species utterly change forms overnight, but instead follows a course of “slow, cumulative, one-step-at-a-time, non-random survival of random varia…
