What types of climbing competetions can a beginner/intermediate 20/f get into?
I live in CA and started climbing a few months ago. I’m mainly into bouldering and I’m getting solid at various V2 level problems.
I have a really competitive side and I’d like to know what is available to someone at my level and age in terms of comps in CA. The gym I climb at only hosts youth competitions, so that’s why I’m not sure what to do.
If you send V2 regularly, you are no longer a beginner!
Bouldering has more competitions than sport or even mixed ice climbing. There’s gotta be lots of comps out there, I’ll bet you’re not looking in the right places.
If you really can’t find one, then you’ll have to start one at your own gym! Good luck.
