What is the new wealth of information, or technology?
I would say that the information, but the means by which technology is past is information. So what's new wealth. Information has always been important. The Greeks and Romans knew that when believes in Hermes / Mercury. It has always been a source of wealth. If you have important information that others do not, you can negotiate, you can climb mountains and reach the top. The information and communication pervades all aspects of life. Including alchemy is also a way of communicating information. Information is the way enlightenment, in other words. Technology evolves, the nature of the information does not work. So what is more valuable?
We are in what is regarded as the information age, and yes, certainly the value of access to information. For example, access to information on population specifically, the operator can make an informed decision about the potential benefits Trade in this population. When Toffler talks about the new information age his book "The Third Wave", I was excited by the possibilities. In hindsight, I think we've made a mistake to focus far technology – or industrialism.
